This week has been a little bit rough coming back from Easter vacation. There was not enough coffee in the world for me at the start of the week, and my kids were pretty exhausted as well. It probably didn't help that my husband and I just got back on Sunday night from a camping trip in Catalina with friends. We had a lot of fun, and as you can see they had a pirate themed weekend which we had an amazing time participating in!
I've been starting to think about what project I wanted to do for Mother's Day, and I decided to resurrect one of my favorites!
This project is always so fun to do, because it captures the true joy of kindergarten with all of the crazy things that the kids think and say!
One of my favorite "recipes", was when a student was telling me how to make soup. After she got done describing all of the procedures, she said, "then you taste it before anyone else does to make sure it is not poison!" I was dying laughing with that one!
I love dressing them up in chef's hats, and aprons, and including their pictures in the book. I feel like it is a great keepsake for the parents to look back on as their children get older.
